Mary Nolan

Born in Boston and growing up in New England, Mary Nolan received her degree in Graphic Design from Vesper George School of Art in Boston in 1974.
She was invited to participate in the Salon de National Exhibition in Paris, France and won first prize in the Wilmington Council for the Arts Competition in Wilmington MA nine years later.
After buying a sheep farm in 1987, Mary began to create works in fiber, spinning and dyeing the wool from her sheep. She participated in workshops in painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture, believing that each discipline learned adds further dimension to all artistic endeavors.
Continuing her formal education, Mary received her BA in Art Therapy from Emmanuel College in Boston with a double major in Fine Art and Psychology, then earned her Masters Degree in Art Therapy from Vermont College of Norwich University.
Mary exhibits her work throughout the Northeast and now focuses her attention almost exclusively on painting and drawing.
